Cognitive-behavior therapy is instructive, using homework assignments and other means to achieve results quickly. Cognitive-behavior therapy is based on the premise that our thoughts affect our feelings and actions. By restructuring our negative patterns and thinking errors, we can modify our feelings and resulting behaviors.
